Runway Creative Joins Claude Marketplace, Opening an Enterprise Budget Route

Eligible enterprises can now buy Runway Creative with part of their Anthropic commitment. The change is procurement, with a Claude-powered creative workflow behind it.

On October 20, 2026, Runway made Runway Creative available through Claude Marketplace. Eligible enterprise customers can apply part of an existing Anthropic spending commitment to the product. Creative, marketing and production teams get another way to buy video, image and audio tooling through an AI budget their organization has already committed.

The immediate change is the purchasing route. Runway has not announced a new generation model with this release, and an ordinary Claude subscription does not automatically include Runway. Customers need an eligible enterprise arrangement and are directed to their Runway or Anthropic representative to purchase through the marketplace.

For a company already paying for several AI products, that distinction matters. Access to a useful tool and approval to buy it are separate problems. A marketplace arrangement may make the second conversation easier, particularly when a marketing team wants to use funding already allocated to AI. It does not tell the team which production work is worth moving to the tool.

What the purchase actually includes

The live Anthropic listing describes Runway Creative as a workspace for generating and editing video, images and audio. Runway Agent uses Claude to turn a brief into a production plan, generate assets and assemble the piece. Users can supply their own footage, product images and brand material, then ask for revisions in plain language.

That creates a practical separation between planning and generation. Claude supplies reasoning inside the agent, while Runway's workspace offers image, video and audio models for the individual tasks. The listing describes choosing models for each job and adapting a successful ad into different formats, hooks and languages. Buyers should evaluate the resulting workflow rather than assume every asset is generated by Claude.

Runway's Agent product page adds context for repeat production. Brand Kits preserve logos, colors and visual references; workflows package recurring steps; and Skills capture team procedures. A launch team could use those features to keep a series of campaign variants closer to the same brief instead of starting every generation from scratch.

The test is how much work survives review. A team evaluating this setup should compare usable outputs, revision time and consistency across a small real campaign. Faster first drafts are valuable, but they are only one part of getting an asset approved for release.

One budget does not mean one product

Anthropic's marketplace explanation distinguishes connectors and plugins, purchasable agents and products, and service partners. Runway belongs to the product-purchasing route. Its appearance there should not be confused with a free connector or a feature automatically added to every Claude account.

The announcement also describes exporting animations from Claude Motion, currently in beta on Claude Team and Enterprise, into Runway for generated footage, voiceover and music. That is a specific handoff between products, separate from the commercial agreement that makes Runway eligible for committed spend.

Neither the launch announcement nor the listing publishes the amount of a customer's commitment that can be applied, a standard marketplace price, or a universal entitlement. Procurement teams still need those details from the account team. The useful development is clear enough: enterprise buyers now have another route from an existing Anthropic budget to a specialist creative production tool.
