# Devin Review Adds Bitbucket Cloud Support: Setup and Limits

Cognition's latest update brings review support to Bitbucket Cloud, while its public documentation still needs to catch up on feature details.

Cognition announced Bitbucket Cloud support to Devin Review in its October 21, 2026 release notes. The update includes automatic installation of review webhooks and personal-account linking for attribution. For teams keeping their repositories on Bitbucket Cloud, it removes a documented gap in Devin's review support.

There is an important qualification: the dated announcement and the broader documentation are not yet aligned. That makes the confirmed setup steps more useful than assuming every feature available on GitHub now works identically on Bitbucket.

## What changed for Bitbucket Cloud

The [October 21 release notes](https://docs.devin.ai/release-notes/overview#october-21-2026) say to connect a Bitbucket Cloud workspace under Settings, then Connections. Review webhooks are installed automatically. The connection details show installation status and include a Refresh button.

Members can also link a personal Bitbucket Cloud account so Devin Review posts as them. That is worth distinguishing from merely connecting the organisation's repositories: shared integration access and the identity attached to an individual's review activity solve different problems.

Devin already had a [Bitbucket integration](https://docs.devin.ai/integrations/bitbucket) for creating pull requests and working with repository context. The new announcement is specifically about Devin Review support. It should not be read as Bitbucket access arriving in Devin for the first time.

## What the documentation does not yet settle

At the time of writing, the [Devin Review guide](https://docs.devin.ai/work-with-devin/devin-review) still marks Bitbucket Cloud unsupported in its provider comparison. The Bitbucket integration guide also retains older wording saying Cloud connections have no webhook option.

Those statements conflict with the newer dated release notes. The narrow, defensible conclusion is that Cognition has announced Bitbucket Cloud review support and its setup path. The public documentation does not yet provide a consistent, updated feature matrix for it.

Do not assume that merge actions, automatic fixes, every chat feature or every review trigger have parity with GitHub. Before enabling the workflow across a team, verify the actions needed on a test pull request and confirm that findings appear under the intended account.

This is particularly important for repository permissions. A successful connection does not tell you whether each member has the right access, whether a webhook is installed successfully or whether comments are attributed as expected.

## A more useful definition of a resolved finding

The same release changes Devin Review analytics. A finding now counts as resolved only when a code change fixes it, either through a later push or through Devin. Dismissed findings and duplicates no longer contribute to that total, so reported resolved counts can fall.

That is a meaningful distinction for anyone evaluating automated code review. Closing a comment and improving the code are different outcomes. A dashboard that combines them can make a busy review system look more effective than it is.

The updated definition still does not establish how many findings were valuable or how much reviewer time was saved. Those need separate evaluation. But it gives teams a cleaner starting point for comparing review activity with changes that actually landed.

## Who should evaluate the update

The immediate audience is engineering teams already using Bitbucket Cloud that want Devin's review workflow without moving repositories. The useful first test is small: a representative pull request, the intended account identities and the review actions the team relies on.

Broader repository support makes an AI review tool easier to adopt. Predictable permissions, clear attribution and trustworthy measurements are what make it easier to keep.
